Is it normal to want to stop thinking of ex, but sometimes can't?

I mean I want to stop, it's just that sometimes I see things that remind me of her. I tell myself that I'm over it. I don't want anything to do with her because soon after we broke up she got with one of her coworkers. I just don't want to think about her. It's been three months since we broke up.

they way I look at it is it's just one more person you don't have to please. and obviously is she hooked up with a guy right after the break up she is automatically a turd. Honestly, you need to just say it's life and there are other people with worse relationship problems. ex. abuse, cheating, and even death. it's better to cry for a whole day because you'll feel 10000000% better. xoxoXoOxxOX

I know it's so hard. When people around you tell you to forget about him/her, you just can't. Or when you try to tell yourself you're over it... Just have hope. Would it make you feel better if you two were still friends? I know I wasn't happy around him...

maybe if you do something like pick up a new hobby to keep your mind off things.

I went out a lot with friends and painted a lot... it really helped.

    Hope you're alright

We cut all ties, I feel a lot better than how I felt before. I don't feel like sad about it, it's just that y'know it's still there.

  • I swear the second you sleep with someone else all feelings for the previous partner disappear.

You still remember them, you just don't care.
