Is it normal to want to score good marks, still not want to study?

Exams are looming above my head, and shit is going down. Really fast. It's like, just 4 days to go. I know I can complete it within that time, I've got the concepts very clear. It's just, I'm not able to concentrate at all!
P.S. I've tried all the meditative stuff, etc etc.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Yeah, dude, lots of people want prizes without doing any work. Most normal thing ever.

I mean i never studied and did good till school forced homework down my throat. Just remember nothing matters, we all die, and do your best. That always worked for me.

It may not actually be cool. But it's seen and romanticized in our society

Then I'm afraid our society is degraded and hypocrite and something you shouldn't bother with. Are you okay now?

  • Stop meditating like a dickhead and start revising then.

basically know the withdraw period if you think you are going to fail a class. It probably will not be an issue. I always had an issue with procrastination where I would wait til everything was due and do it on the last possible day. My thoughts are if you know the material you should be fine, but be on the safe side.

Do it the modern way, demand better marks.

What exactly are the modern ways?

Everyone with a grievance go on a protest march, burn anything in reach and damage as much as possible.

Red bull fueled cram sessions for 3 hours a day for a week help. A day before exams you need to get 8hours of sleep.

LOL. I'm able to sleep hardly for four hours before exam. Jitters.

That's what the sleeping pills are for, with 6 alarms placed 2 minutes apart.

Make you some flashcards to help you study. Another good idea would be to read the chapters you are studying out loud and record yourself doing it, then play it back.

I think your feelings are normal. I wish I could win millions in the lottery without lifting a finger. I also wish I could win millions in the lottery, and remain entirely anonymous. Call me crazy.

WOW. I appreciate you giving your best advice. I've never used flashcards. Who knows, they might work!
P.S. There's some hope for crazy so-called-brilliant students like me πŸ˜‚

Aww i feel bad that i didn't give you any real advice because you seem like a nice person & exams can be super overwhelming.

I had the same problem as you. I was able to scoot by without studying at all in highschool & still make great grades, so when the time came where i needed to establish study habits, i sucked at it.

The best trick i figured out was to determine which style of learning suited me the best. Google "7 styles of learning."

Some people really find it easy to remember things they transcribe; others have to say it out loud. For me, i learn best by "teaching;" when i can explain something to someone else, then i have it down.

If you figure out the style that best suits you, you can streamline your studying habits & improve your ability to retain information.

Anyways, good luck on your exams!!

Don't feel bad for not advising me. I should feel bad that you're wasting time in that. I'm sorta lost case :)
P.S. I don't mean to sound depressed or something.
