Is it normal to want to return a gift? why is it taking so long?

Is it normal for a guy to want to exclusively date you for two months without girlfriend/boyfriend status? He talks big game like he has the intention of making me his gf, but has yet to act on them. He recently bought me a gift-a book- and I have a strong urge to return it, sell it, or not ever read it because I do not understand why he bought it.

Is this behavior normal on his and my part? What's really going on here??

    You should talk to him about it. Tell him that you feel like you're getting two different vibes from him, and you're unsure which direction this relationship is going, or even which direction he want's it to go. But I do think that moomus states a very good point. He might be just in it for a f-buddy.

    Maybe he wants a fb and is keeping you hanging in there by saying he will make you his gf? You need to lay it on the line and tell him " couple or not at all".....
