I give money to the homeless. I've had friends say "aren't you worried he'll use it to buy drugs?" My response is always the same - if someone is so desperately addicted to drugs or alcohol that they have become homeless and are reduced to begging on the street, they are welcome to the money. Besides, it's our own damn fault there are so many homeless. If President Raygun hand't turned all the mentally ill out into the street, we wouldn't have this problem.
Thanks to enablers like you, lots of beggars are making $100,000 around here. They have to buy permits, and fools pay them to beg. Such a waste.

You know, it's the funniest thing because usually, I will get shit for saying that I DON'T want to give money to a homeless person to support their drug habit.
I understand why you would do that though. Personally, I live in a rough area so I don't make a habit of pulling out my wallet, especially considering that the homeless people here are known to have violent tendencies but if you think you can do it without putting yourself in any danger, why not?
It's not as if they are going to quit just because you DON'T give them anything.
