Is it normal to want to play with girl's hair?

So in my class, there's this insanely hot chick who sits directly in front of me. She has this beautiful, shiny, silky, super long, dark hair. She's smoking hot, yet it's one of her best features. She always wears it out and loves to lean back on her chair. Her hair always falls back all over my table and laptop and books. I've always had the desire to just play with it a little bit.

Last week when it was on my laptop, I used that as an excuse to touch it. I grabbed a bit and pushed it off, which she never noticed, because it's really long. Because I knew she wouldn't notice, and no one was watching, I grabbed a bunch of it in my hands and just started playing around with it. It was so soft and silky.

Now I have this massive urge to touch it. Every day since then I've played with her hair when it's on my stuff.

It feels super creepy.

    I can't believe this. So, it's not just me...I have a habit of doing that. I don't have any urge of doing it or anything, I just subconsciously start doing it whenever the situation arises.
    Is it normal? I really don't know.

      What types of situations do you do it in?

      I had a friend come sit next to me, and he started twirling the ends of her hair around his finger sort of subconsciously too.

      I do it very consciously

        In class, with a classmate or when watching TV on a couch with my girlfriend, sister or anyone with long hair. Usually everyone ignores it, everyone other than my sister that is, sometimes she scolds me if she feels a strain.

          Do you like subconsciously lean forward to, or only when their hair is like near you or whatever? (like my situation)

            Nope I don't lean forward, only when it's within my reach.
            Anyway, I think you're overreacting a bit, it doesn't matter if you touch a girl's hair...unless she's a stranger.

              Yeah maybe I am, I just feel a little creepy.

              Other guys in my class have tried to plait her hair before and she got super pissed, so maybe they're the creepy ones :P

            You didn't know? It's kinda ironic, cause I remember mentioning that my age is 19 more than a few times. And no, I'm not in school, I'm in college.....And maturity doesn't necessarily come at the age of 60 or 70, so your observation might be based on yourself, cause as you can see maturity can come at any age. But I won't completely disagree with you as I find most behaviors of people my age somewhat childish...so yes! the world is full of surprises.

    I did this once, there was a girl sitting in front of me on the train, she looked around college age, and I just touched her hair because it looked so sexy. It was brown and curly at the back and I knew she wouldn't notice or feel anything so I decided to go for it.

    Lol this puts a funny/creepy image in my mind. This should definitely be a comedic scene in a movie. It's kind of understandable since it gets all over your stuff tho. Maybe she wants you to desire her hair, or else she might be a little more conscious about where it creeps about to. Not that she's asking for it or anything...

      She saw me throwing her hair over her shoulder once, because I couldn't see my book. She gave me a cheeky smile and lay her head down on the table and completely covered my table and hands in it.

      I guess I forgot to mention we're pretty good friends.
