Is it normal to want to make your boyfriend watch a girly movie

I generally loathe girly, romantic movies (think romocoms/SATC etc etc).... but there are a couple of exceptions.

I have a boyfriend and I think it'd be funny to make him sit through a girly movie for some reason. I've watched a few martial arts films with him with no complaints and I'd like to see how he reacts when he's sat down to watch something like Wedding Daze or Love Actually.
However, I think I'd break him in with Mean Girls or Hairspray as I think they're above par on the girly front and Hairspray isn't entirely aimed at women....

    i try to make mine listen to romantic music; he doesn't get it, though, but he listens to it for my sake.

    I think chick flicks suck. I actually have the advantage of being with a man that has good taste in movies and I think it's stupid when women make men watch a chick flick like The Notebook. God that movie sucks -_-

    If you make him watch hairspray, there's a big possibility of him getting a heart attack out of boredom. Or maybe just fall asleep like me.
