Being a white English male myself, makes me wish I was a British civilian in the early 1900s due to the strong patriotism and wealth Britain lacks now.
Dude. With America I can imagine. Because to be quite honiest I've always had a side of me that wants to be American. Because your country took no shit. In the mid 1900s you guys were kickin ass, and still are but a lot of new laws and new people have changed your country. Just like in the UK. I feel there's a new side to Britain that I don't like. And the way Europe is going now, I thinks the whole of it will become a 3rd world continent, bringing us with it. Where as the US, your alone as one country, yhu don't have as many problems as we do. I mean, look at WWII for gods sake. Without you we would all be NAZI muva fukers. You didn't have to join but you did, and for that I solute America.
I live in the united states, and i have the same thought about my country. Our countries governments are becoming more and more powerfull and socialist, and the people are becoming subjects. REVOUTION!!!
It's funny. Im not saying I'm one of these hoods, but I stroll the streets with my friends, and I wear jeans and shirts and I'm not one bit threatening. But it annoys me about USA being more patriotic than us. The amount of other races that call themselfs British. And all the money problems in our government. Also how the rest of the world treats us, I mean st one point we owned a third of the planet.. we have jack shit now. And what ever happned to the description of a British citizen, cuz its not white, caucasain anymore..
I too often feel i'd rather live in older Britain. Sure, I'd miss the technology, but at least i would be able to walk to the shop without being hassled by some drunken hoods! I'm 19, and I just don't seem to fit in with the 'bad-ass' teens of today.
