Is it normal to want to leave this crazy country (usa)?

I'm tired of this place. I know Utopia does not exist (except in my head) but other countries have much better outcomes than crazy America. Less violence, healthcare for all, less disparity between the rich and the rest of the people, etc... Is anyone else fed up with this place?

Move to Europe. They're supposed to be SOOO much better... LOL (sorry guys)

"Less violence." I'm going to assume you mean "gun violence" since that seems to be the trend here recently. Guns are tools. Guns can not be violent. I'm also sick of hearing about how we need to ban guns, the mentally ill, and video games. Let's fucking ban everything!! Chainsaws, power tools, hammers, crowbars, bows and arrows, air guns, water guns, paint ball guns, Tide detergent, cars, trucks, frying pans.... Fuck, let's just ban PEOPLE. Yeah, that'll solve everything!! (Turn the offenders into soylent green and feed the hungry!)

"Healthcare for all." Socialism. Don't even get me started.

"Disparity." Because people are PISSED! Taxes go up, inflation (hidden tax) goes up, rent goes up, but do your wages go up? FUCK NO. When you have to choose between gasoline and groceries, you'd get pissed too! When you discover that about 2% of the worlds population has about 80% of the wealth, you'd get pissed too!

And guess what? YOU SHOULD BE PISSED. Something is morbidly wrong with our country, we're headed into tyranny, we've got crony capitalism where the vultures have become kings.

You want to run? Fine. Where you gonna run to? There IS no where to run! They're everywhere. You can't escape. You'll work till you die as a wage slave like everyone else no matter where you go!

Ironically most people need gas to get groceries. So I guess going to work and not being able to eat would defeat the purpose.

You are so right. The world is doomed. Oh for shame.

If you'd rather run away than stick around and work to improve our country by getting an education, learning how to live properly, learning the issues to elect better officials or even run yourself and try to better this country by being a good example to the next generation, then go. We don't need any more quitters here, we don't need any more excuses, we don't need any more whiners and sign-holders, we need problem solvers. I'm working, I'm getting an education, I'm learning how to live. It's difficult but it's better for me and it's better for our country. If you don't want to join us, feel free to leave.

I don't hate you. I feel not bitterness towards you. This isn't the greatest country to live in, but it can be better, or so I hope.

America doesn't seem that bad. In terms of things like affluence and life expectancy, it's in the upper reaches. There will always be somewhere better, of course, and particularly because the definition of "better" is personal. Scandinavia, Canada and New Zealand always score highly on "quality of life" surveys.

We could swap places? I live in Europe, and would love to live in America. Grass is always greener on the other side I guess.

I feel exactly the same way and I have felt this way for a few years. I don't want to live in country. I didn't ask to born here! The least my parents could have done was be considerate enough to give birth to me somewhere else! As soon as I'm done with school, I plan to move/go to college some place in Europe. I will gladly give up my citizenship for this pathetic excuse for a country. I am still greatly angered over events this country did in past; it sickens me. Whatever happened to keeping "God" separate from the government? Democracy is NOT working for this country. I love for this country to switch to Socialism so there would be free healthcare and so on but, it will most likely never happened because this county is run by idiot assholes!!!! I'm also pissed about this country creating GMOs and refusing to label products that contain them, cloned meat (there's no law that requires manufacturers to label meat from cloned animals), pink slime, growth hormones and all the horrors the food industry has to offer!!!! I could go on and on but my hand is starting to hurt. >_<

Well you make some good points, through patriotic eyes though this would not be normal at all. But there is nothing wrong with wanting to leave, but if any of the reasons why you're leaving are to deal with personal issues remember that you have to face them, or they are going to catch up with you elsewhere.
