Is it normal to want to know how to identify psilocybin mushrooms?

I want to go forest walking and investigate the wonders of nature. Is it normal to want to be able to identify these first, just incase I decide to expand my adventures?

Starting with how many? Or is there no general rule?

I believe research is most important before a New adventure.

Have you tripped on anything before? Unless you're some kind of expert on mushrooms or have done a lot of research, *never* go out picking and eating any sorts of wild mushrooms. More of them will kill you than anything else.

If you want to trip, just talk to some of your friends and find out where you can *buy* some mushrooms so you know you're getting the real thing.

As for how many, that's up to you. I know people who've eaten quarters to the face and been fine, I know someone who had a bad trip off a gram of spores. It depends on you, your tolerance, your psyche, and the way you respond to things.

      Erowid is definitely your friend.
For your first time don't trip alone, and preferably not in a public place.
Get someone experiened to sit for you and stay sober, in case you need help.

Thanks dude, and no I am not enlightened yet. My plan was to purchase some, but would like to learn how to identify them. And have thought about having experienced people with me who are sober. It definately good advice.

  • Just eat every mushroom you come across, you'll find one eventually.....or you'll die.

I want these cunts that make these laws to all die out or be shipped to the middle east thats the perfect place for them those laws are primitive cave men laws.

These shrooms should be sold somewhere so you don't need to go hunting for them and how many people go off for their first time pick the wrong one and get poisioned by eating the wrong strain.

This world needs a reset you have fucked the earth to long i will do any thing in my power to wipe the cancer out of this world, We just need more funding like if the rothschilds wasn't greedy cunts and backed it we could legalise everything organic and get rid of a lot of douchebags too win win >_> Someone write him a letter.

No dude no don't do it! I heard tell of some mushroom-college graduate, who studied them for years. He found the mushrooms and did all his fancy pants testing and then ate them and DIED! 0.0 Don't eat them from an untrusted source. Like the woods

    • My city had those planted all over town, until some university students decided to eat them and one has permenant brain damage now. After that happened, all of the plants were destroyed.

I have them in my garden too. A yellow one and a dark purple one.

The ones I have are white. They are so pretty but I'd never eat them. You can make tea too. If you sleep close enough to them they will highly influence your dreams. I'll just admire them from a safe distance. And make sure my dogs don't go near them :/

        • They stink during the day, but OMG they smell good at night! Like flower-scented French milled soap. I love how they constantly produce those massive trumpet shaped flowers too. Mine are only a foot and a half high this year, but I want to grow them into tree/bushes.

I think you and I have similar tastes (no pun intended) in flowers. I noticed you mentioned portulacas before... I love those and grow them too.
