Is it normal to want to know details of your partner cheating on you?

Some years back my (now ex) partner cheated on me. We stayed together (we have 3 kids) but eventually split up. I'd it normal that I wanted to know the whole story, as in what positions he has sex in, what happened, whether she was any good, was she better than me etc? Would you want to know, regardless of if you stayed with that person, or not?

    I think that is a normal response, you feel betrayed and hurt and you feel knowing all these facts might give you some closure. The fact is, it won't help long term. Focus all that energy on something else, something you enjoy; you deserve to feel enjoyment. Busy yourself - those thoughts will eventually subside.

    Oh I did! This all happened at the time, have nothing to do with him anymore, and cut him out of my life. Just I was talking to someone who went through the same thing as me and we were saying that its maybe a bit weird to want to know all the details....
