Is it normal to want to hug strangers?

Sometimes I see people that I immediately want to know. The way they carry themselves catches my eye. My instinct is to hug them, but I have never acted on it. Is that weird?

    Depend on your gender.

    If you're a female, it should be fine to hug a stranger.
    A male, would be challenging. You might get your ass kicked e.g. molest

    I get that way whenever I'm pointlessly happy. I'm just all: "Awww, I'm so glad we are alive! I just wanna hug EVERYTHING~!"

    lol yeah I get that feeling to it's more of an on and off thing like some days I'm really friendly and loving and other days I'm just a hateful sulk
