Is it normal to want to have at least 12 kids?
Me and my girlfriend don't have kids yet but we want at least 12 kids is it normal?

One can even adopt siblings. I don't see how having two or three natural children and adopting the rest would make any less normal of a family than one of all 12 natural kids and a very tired and angry wife ;)

You have some siblings in the foster care system that really don't want to split up (I have seen as many as four siblings wanting to be adopted) so they make themselves available in kind of a bundle package...
It's more difficult for them to get adopted because many couples looking to adopt are only really looking for a pretty white baby, not two hispanic siblings. You have a lot of couples that DO want to adopt, but like I said, they want pretty white babies, not a 4 year old black kid.
Which should make adopting from foster care easier for my husband and I when we're financially able.

Please don't the world is over populated as it is. I get pissed off when I see a couple with 3 kids and want to strangle them. I am at a point were Im deciding if I want to have ONE kid, or not have any kids at all because of the population issues. Do not bring more kids into this world then replace you (because even that causes population growth). you are taking away someone elses happiness. I would LOVE to have kids... but some of my friends have two and three kids so I know I probably can't have kids in order to not distroy the world. Please think about other peoples happyness before you act. Plus what about the love? In a world filled with less and less love and acceptance, to bring a kid into the world who cant have one on one attachment with their parents is a crime. I feel sorry for the kids of large house holds. They never amount to much. Please have ONE or TWO kids and enjoy every moment, and spoil and love them. You will feel alot more accomplished.

Wait, so you want to strangle parents when you see that they have three kids? Three kids isn't that bad. Usually, that's the most people have nowadays.
When you mean "you are taking away someone else's happiness", are you talking about the kids who are up for adoption and need homes? That by people having kids instead of adopting them, they're taking away the chance of a happy life for another group of kids?
I do completely get your feelings about large households, though. I don't get how any kid could be a part of a large family and NOT feel like a number.

I know that 3 kids are "normal" but there needs to be a new normal. 3 kids adds to the population too quickly and shouldn't be thought of as "Okay" anymore.
I wanted to have 4 kids when I was growing up, but then I saw everyone else having 2-3 kids and grew up and realized that I could not logically do that to the world, because everyone else was. so I can ONLY have one or no kids. Kids bring such happyness to a persons life, its sad that I probably won't get that because other people were selfish.
I would adopt BUT you are normally on a few years waiting list, kids are hard to come by. There are not enough up for adoption. So I think someone elses happyness is better then my own.
Basicly if someone has 12 kids they take the happyness away from about 18 parents.... people who now can't have kids because two people were selfish.

There are hundreds of thousands of children in foster care that are ready for adoption. The trouble is that most parents want pretty white babies, not a latino 8 year old.
Look into foster parenting and foster adoptions. There are hundreds of thousands of kids out there that would love to call you "mom" if you're willing to do the work to get the approval.

I've thought about this, but I have yet to meet a guy who would be willing to care and raise a child thats not his blood. Even then guys tend to flake out. And I know you have to have a stable marriage to foster, which is rather sad. Because I've never really wanted to get married... but I have more then enough love and would spoil any kid I had. I used to work in a preschool, and I went to school to be a middle school math teacher because I learned that kids who do not develop a love for math during their middle school years normally drop out of highschool. So I wanted to help kids. However, with the schools the way they are in the united states the dream was short lived. So now Im studying something else.

Not necessarily. It's more of an "apply to try" kind of deal. I've seen foster homes run by one person or by two abusive spouses... generally, passing a background check and having a house to live in is all one really needs but good luck XD it was actually my husband that suggested foster care to me, however, he wants natural kids as well. Compromise is a bitch sometimes.

My heart is huge, I do everything to help my community. The reason I feel this way is I have ALOT of college education. I have learned about what our over population will mean in 20 years. And I do feel if no one steps up then problems will arise. There should be laws in every country on a max amount of children. If I was making that law, I would say you could have two children without being fined. Which is alot compaired to what other people have thought up because I believe everyone should be able to live the life they dream and make the choices they wish to. For me I don't want to have more then one kid if I do have a kid because I find having kids to be selfish in that the world can not handle the load we are putting on it. Who would want to bring a beautiful child into a world that is going to fail in the childs life time? Why would you want to choose to put a human through that? There are people who believe you should have a certain IQ to have children, while this seems apealing reality is how would we regulate it? But it is shown that under educated people have an average of 3.4 kids. While people with a college degree have 1.3 kids. There is a problem here, in a world more and more based around higher education and thinking rather than manual labor it should be flip floped. But you are right, who do I think I am? I think I am a person who has a voice. You can agree or not. maybe I came off harsh. But I love this world, and the people who walk it. I want everyone to be happy, and be able to chase their dreams. It affects me in everyway what other people do, having 12 kids is not a personal matter its a world issue. I have a couple who LOVES kids, they had 3 stopped because that was the abolute max they could logically make. But they wan't a HUGE family. There for they are foster parents, they foster 4 kids at a time. So they have 7 kids. Maybe they could do something like this? I'm not saying they can't have a large family, but please HELP the next generation not distroy it.

From someone who says they're very educated your spelling is a bit weak. I just want you to realize it's kind of harsh to say the world is over populated. It may make some people want to kill themself. But I guess you support that. I mean, why not only leave the world to the people who WANT to live, right? People die and are born everyday. Look at what we have built. We are greatest in numbers! I don't think you should put laws on it. We were born to reproduce or else we die.

I agree with beautywithapast, the earth is horribly full of people. Cant you see the sad state our country is in? Lack of jobs? Poverty? There arent too little jobs, theres too many damn people. If two people are replaced by twelve new people, cant you see how fast our population could rise? I took a class in high school on environmental science, and even though it made me feel terrible most of the time, I believe it was absolutely necessary for me to get the point that we need to take charge in making the planet sustainable for all life. You really need to read up on these things before stupidly posting about something which is far more important than you can see. The world IS overpopulated, its not an opinion that will make people kill themselves; its the sad truth.

If you want 12 kids, adopt them. Or just get 12 pets. Sponsor 12 children, even. Make pregnancy an accident. Or just go very slowly. I don't think anyone has the right to say no, don't have 12 kids, don't over-populate our earth further. But take it slow. After one or two you might see how much work it is to have to take care of them and all.
