Is it normal to want to have a record for most comments on a story?

Huh, Dappled is a guy? I mean, I don't necessarily think about it when reading comments. It's just interesting, in a way, to find out after reading many of someone's comments in various stories.

I seen ones with over 200 comments. I have a post that got a lot of comments and I kind of just stopped paying attention to it. People are still commenting on it but it just had so many replies its hard to keep track of which are new and which I already read.

2a. Controversial
2b. Or very intersting/funny (I'm a pringle in a can)

It depends how you want to do it. My own personal record is about 35 (for a recent post, as it happens) but I don't post anything controversial and don't often turn a post into a debate.

ItDuz gets a much larger response (some of his topped 100 in the space of 24 hours) but mostly they're just people disagreeing with him, and then him disagreeing with them.

If you're not going the controversy route, then you're going to have to post something really amazing.
