Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 2 1/2 years. We live miles apart because of college and only get to see each other on weekends and I'm tired of the same routine. We both love each other very much and want to be together forever. I am about to graduate and he has another year. So why can't he propose? Doesn't it usually takes that long for a good engagement to last? Is it normal to have wedding and engagement plans always on my mind? How can I convince to him that this is special and not crazy?

    Well I think you should let him propose when he's ready. You BOTH need to be ready for this. If you pressure him into this then who knows how it will end. If you truly love eachother and you're confident you can be together forever then you will. You don't need marriage to prove that.

    First of all, if you're already tired of the same routine as it is, what makes you think the marriage is going to last? Life after marriage is as routine as it gets.

    Why do you need a ring on your finger?

    If you want one go and buy a cubic zircona.

    You two haven't really spent a lot of time together. It's not as if you're in your 50's so I don't see why you need to rush into marriage - especially while he's still studying.

    Chill out - it's a long way from the church to the grave.

    If I was him i'd wait until my schooling is done and i'm in a good stable job, that way I'd feel ready to take care of my family. That could be why :)

    You don't sound crazy. However, please give him time to decide what he wants. Pushing him into things wont do you any good. I bet if you gave him time he would engage to you someday.

          People respond a little differently. And thanks! MY older pictures were of me a few days ago. Things are different now.

            Things are always different. I guess it'd be more noticeable if we had profile pics next to our usernames whenever we commented. That would just be awful.
