Is it normal to want to fly?
I really want to fly. I'm looking into the requirements of building an Iron Man suit. I want to be able to fly. I imagine the rush of flying would be awesome.

It's normal to want to fly, but actually trying to find out how to build an Iron Man suit...
Not normal.
Since aeroplanes won't do it for you - Check out these jetpacks:

You may want to reconsider aeroplanes in terms of light sport aircraft. They only weigh about 300kg and the controls are very responsive.
Like some others have already stated, you may also want to look into skydiving and hang gliding.
Good for you. It's good to feel passionate about things like that. I love those flight simulators in amusement parks where you go into a capsule, watch a screen, and the capsule moves around a bit.
Learn hang gliding. You could also get a pilot's license. My brother is a pilot and he says it feels like flying, esp a small plane.
Yep when i was watching the first Ironman movie and he was taking the suit out for a test flight i was right up there with a big smile on my face for a moment i felt like i was flying too.
I want to fly too. But not like Iron Man. I want to feel the wind against my skin. And also, I want to be able to turn on invisibility on and off. So no one knows about my flying secret.
We all have our fantasies. I've always wanted to ride on a ship with pirates.
Jetlev is a water jetpack that moves wherever you position your body...or are you just interested in a indestructible armored suit powered by a infinite source of nuclear power. skydiving is the closest you could get to what you want
I think the wright brothers have already made your dream come true. On that note JetLev will help you with your iron man suit idea
I want self controllable flight on a smaller scale. Flying an airplane might be neat, but nothing comparable to what Iron Man can do. The flight that Iron Man is capable of is all controlled by how he moves and positions his body. Flying in an airplane is basically piggy backing on something that does all of the work.
Normal, man. Go to your closest ultralight or hang glider spot. Check it out.
Same here. I'm scared of heights, but there's just something that looks so peaceful about flying. However, if I may make a more realistic suggestion, try base jumping or skydiving. I hear the sensations from both of those sports is amazing, and similar to flying.
