Is it normal to want to feel sad?

Well, as the title says...is it normal that I want to feel sad? Every time I become depressed about something in my life, it's not that I can't cheer up and move on, it's that I honestly just don't want to. After a day or so the feeling passes but for the most part I just like the feeling of sadness... Now don't get me wrong. I'm usually a happy, upbeat person! I've never considered myself "emo" or "goth" or the like. I have never been diagnosed as clinically depressed either. It's just something I've mentally discovered a while back...well, is it normal?

Btw, my apologies if you, the readers, cannot grasp my question fully... I'm new to this and i just hope I explained myself well enough.

Thankyou! =)

I sometimes want to feel sad too, so I just watch Grey's grey's anatomy or listen to depressing music.

If you want to feel sad, move to England. The lack of sunshine and abundance of rain will make you sad almost immediately.
