this.
i'm betting the OP doesn't know what salmonella poisoning feels like.

Symptoms typically show up 12 to 72 hours after infection, last 4 to 7 days, and most persons recover without treatment. The most common symptoms are:
- diarrhea
- fever
- abdominal cramps
Diarrhea may get so severe the victim needs to be hospitalized. In these cases, the Salmonella infection may spread from the intestines through the blood stream to other body sites, which can cause death unless the victim is treated promptly with antibiotics.
it doesn't taste to bad.... i've had raw frog, fish, beef, venison, snake, pig, and more. i haven't gotten sick not once!!!! because i killed the germs by freezing the meat first. trust me, i must have done something right!!!!
Meh. Sometimes i like to eat raw beef. Not alot but just a meatball sized piece... probally the anemia
It depends where you get it from. In Japan this is not that weird. Some restaurants serve chicken that is raw except for a thin cooked outside layer. Otherwise it's raw. The difference is how the chicken is raised and prepared. Chickens aren't born with salmanilla they are tainted by their living conditions. Farm raised is probably a good choice but it depends on how healthy the environment is. This mentality of raw chicken being dangerous is almost entirely based on the result of the mass production method.
Having a chicken raised by small farm owners would probably help (as they'd take better care of each chicken) but it's not a sure shot. The real difference is more in the preparation - most places in Japan that serve it will first cook the outside layer of meat to kill off any possible diseases.
But either way, biting a chunk out of the drumstick you bought at the grocery store is a terrible, terrible idea.
You must be lacking in vitamins/minerals.
What has your diet been like? Is your diet now similar to what you ate as a child?
If you do it, it'll make you very ill. Salmonella and parasites are the greatest risks and can kill you. Please, fight off the urge!
It's fine if it comes from a free range farm, I've done it. I've eaten most meat raw.
No don't let the demons take over your life! don't do it you will get ill :(
ok, at the ppl who said the salmonella things...thts the only thing keepin me from doin it :p so you dont have to worry bout it, k?
