Is it normal to want to eat all day, or not at all?

Hi, just wondering if its normal to eat all day or not at all? I tried being healthy and eating small meals throughout the day, starting with breakfast (ie egg whites with mushies and spinach) Regardless of how much exercise
(sometimes moderate, somtimes little due to studying)I found I was hungry all day. I got sick of this after about 3 months- and I was putting weight on, despite trying the "eating small healthy meals!" idea. Now I stopped eating breaky and I can go all day until about 6 and eat, then I feel hungry all night! I cant win and cant lose weight despite eating better and exercising. The only time I have been a decent weight, I was working a very physical job (abt 10 hr days, 5 days a week) and eating nothing more than an apple for lunch and a kids size dinner (size of tea saucer) and drinking only water. Is my metabolism up the creek? Can you "reset" metabolism, or speed it up?

im going to sound like a commercial here but you should research the hcg diet and how it resets your hypothalamus gland. if you do decide to research it you will see there is a lot of contraversy but thats how you know its good, whereas the other diets really force themselves on you cause they want you to buy.

i have done this diet and so has my dad and we both lost a lot of weight and have kept it off. (i lost 15kg and my dad lost about 50kg!)
