Is it normal to want to drop the t from lgbt?

I'm a gay 21 year old biological male with gender identity disorder(GID) or gender dysphoria, and I'm getting social therapy (not surgery or hormones) to cure it, so far it's going well.

The LGB community has recently added more letters to its acronym, and is now know as the LGBT or even LGBTQA+.

I believe that we should drop the unnessary Q & A, and especially the T from LGBT. The main reason is because LGB is for equality among different sexualities while T is for change of gender. We are fighting for totally different rights and their ideology is different from the LGB.

These are some of the reasons why the T  should be dropped from LGBT.

•Harassment of gay/lesbian individuals who openly express disagreement with the trans ideology. E.g a simple disagreement can result in responses that range from insults (“transphobic bigot" or "cis-Nazi") to threats of physical harm.
•Persuading parents and doctors to diagnose children (who don't fit into there stereotypical gender roles) as young as 4 as transgender, and to be put on puberty blockers (which are not approved by the FDA).
•Gay men/women advocate for expanding and re-defining gender concepts, while the trans movement is regressive, insisting upon claiming and codifying classic gender concepts of what is masculine and what is feminine. (E.g Most trans are diagnosed as trans because they like or act like the stereotypical opposite gender, since this is the only current diagnosis used, even used for me.)
•Trans MtF wanting to share all female spaces with women, when fem gay guys never asked to invade a female space years ago and now when we were getting shock therapy and killed for being gay. And even rape centres when they know there are women there who will have a mental break down when they go near a male stranger. (also FtM doing the same but there's more MtF).
•They're letting criminals identify as trans to get a sex change and a name change and to move to a prison with the opposite gender. When some of these criminals are registered sex offenders and murderers! What happens is we put a FTM who hasn't taken hormones but gets arrested, should we just put her with men because she feels like one?! Or a dangerous criminal finishes their prison sentences and comes out with a different gender and name.
•The guy who founded the trans surgery is a pedophile! http://www.thepublicdiscourse.com/2015/04/14905/
•Breaking our validity of sexuality, there are MtF who believe they are lesbians even when they still have a penis. And when they say they used to be straight as a male but now they're a gay female and force this ideology on us.
•Now people who disagree with the trans ideology are hating on the whole LGB community thinking we all agree with it, when not all do.

P.S
I'm not advocating intolerance or prejudice against the transgender community. I believe no one should be physically attacked based on prejudice or intolerance. But I allow others to have opinions because words may hurt, but it's good to hear every side of an argument before making a decision.
The trans community doesn't need the LGB to stand up for its rights, especially if we don't share the same ideology.

Yes, they should drop the T 4
No, they shouldn't drop the T 5
Other (please explain below) 1

        I don't know the OP was tl;dr.

Its was more I read the title and didn't think you were the 1 in charge of changing things so... Um ok thats what you think.

        • I know I'm not in charge but if most of the community feels a particular way about something then you should consider their change.

And so far in mine they've dropped the T but it's caused uproar by some trans individuals.

But I feel like we have the right reason and logic to do it. And want to see what everyone else thinks that's all.

P.s it's easier to have a disscusion if you read most of the post. E.g why do you think we should keep the T when they can make their own group? (Just curious)

You've made a unfounded assumption. I don't care either way about dropping or adding a letter. I think the whole thing is stupid. The "community" in question is approaching the "problem" all wrong IMO. If you want to be inclusive why is it necessary to divide everyone up with there own special letter? You don't divide ppl to be inclusive. If you want to be inclusive you don't do it by dividing ppl into different groups. Thats lame.

And yea I'm in that list of letters and I still think its dumb.

            • Okay sure you got a point.
But my point is its about sexuality not gender.

Adding the T to LGB is like adding Black lives matter to feminism.
I think those two groups are stupid but still be dumb to mix them together.

I’m a transgender man and I respect gays lesbians and straight identitying people. Now I did have a problem with my girl breaking up with me because she wanted to be with a cis guy after she’s been dating me for 2 years. People have a right to change their mind but it was a shocker. if I asked her out in the beginning and she said no because she only dates cis guys. I’d say good for you and I repect your Preferences. Then move on to the next chick. People may hate me on this but, I don’t believe children should be describe hormones because of them not being mature enough. I think there should be an age limit went to start T or estrogen. Hormone blocker shouldn’t even exist. Maybe they should exist for people who are like 18 years of age. In my opinion I think you could start at 18 but maybe 19 or 20 would be better. People with disabilities should wait longer. As a person with a severe mental illness I waited until it was right.

If you're fighting for a cause you need to have the most number of people by your side, and the LGBT flag is getting more and more recognizable at this time. You're fighting for a cause not for a label.

    • Yeah I agree the only problem is their cause clashes with our own. Apart from wanting to be safe everything else doesn't mold well with our ideologies; like giving kids hormones and stereotyping gender.

For fucks sake, leave it alone and as is, and do you sit around all day thinking up shit to try and have a discussion ? You are 1 person, the LGBT community is I'm gonna go with a few hundred thousand around the world, that's a very out of the blue guess, and very low estimate. The term LGBT is what I would assume is more of an umbrella terminology meant to include people that they no doings of their own, they are more of the unwelcome social groups. I say unwelcome since I myself as a cross-dressing male don't feel the acceptance from the social and moral majority coming down in the mailbox anytime soon. The LGBT is more of a place, whether online, or towns all over the world with brick and mortar centers. They may be for counseling, help with social issues, domestic violence, or so many more issues common to those of us that feel rejected, neglected and pretty much because of their predisposed destiny, (sexuality and gender issues assigned before being born). If only we had control over the traits we inherent in the womb. So why not just let it be, kill your "Drop the T" campaign. Go back to your girlfriend, or boyfriend, make nice and get your mind occupied again. BTW, the "umbrella LGBT", I feel it gives many a sense of belonging somewhere other than out in the streets where most don't really understand or dont want to understand things that really has no bearing directly on the lives of those that society chooses to ignore, and even feels the need to ridicule those that simply would love to go on with their life. Then suddenly theirs people like you coming in and trying to change the entire format of the life they are used to, simply because they are different than those who choose to condemn. I say Grow Up.

        • Calm down.

All I see is in your comment is extreme emotions.
I want rational talk. I not hurting anyone with my words, it just an opinion.
Haha my opinion is changing their format of life, how? You do know that everyone thinks for them selves, there are trans people who agree with me, one is my best friend, but she doesn't want to translation because the surgery isn't efficient enough for females.

I only spent 5 minutes Max to write this up. Haha its ironic when you wrote a long ass reply. Isn't this a case of the kettle calling the pot black?

I think LGBT sounds better than LGB. Adding more letters seems a bit unnecessary, that's what the + is for. Maybe they should add an "S" for "Straight" though, to emphasize that they fight for human rights that concern everyone.

    • The T gives a better sound to the acronym, is that what you meant?

Yes I agree on adding straight to show everyone is equal and it will allow straight people to feel welcome to come to our meetings and events to learn about issues and our lives. And we can listen to theirs too and their issues.
