Is it normal to want to date somebody 11/12 years older than you?

Ok. I'm a female. I've been through the typical teenage relationships. I've been heart broken and cheated on, with the desire for something real. I've known this guy for two years. He's the sweetest guy I've ever known. He wants to take me out to dinner, introduce me to his friends, spend a bunch of time with me. However, I'm still in school and he's finished university for his masters. He's 12 years older than me. Although he makes me happy, I've lied to my friends and family of his age. He doesn't make my age a big deal, so why do I feel guilty? Although I know he really could make me happy.

Seriously, screw what everyone else thinks. Someone is always going to object to what you're doing. Why bother trying to make them happy when you should be worried about making yourself happy? Here in the states, people complain too much. In most other countries, no one cares about 10 or so years at all... I know I don't. I've dated girls 11 years in either direction of my age.

12 Years older doesn't seem that much to me. I've liked guys that were that much older then me, and I still do.

If you feel it's right, go for it! 12 years older isn't that old..... And if he makes you happy then that's all that counts!:)
