Is it normal to want to control everything for the universal good?

Ever since I was a Junior in secondry school i've had a need to be my own boss. I'm doing third level education at the moment doing Business Studies. I hope to do a masters involving some aspect of business and set up a company after a few years in the financial services sector.

The problem is that I know that I will have to save up money in employment for a few years after I graduate to help finance this hypothetical company, but I cannot bear the idea of being a full time employee whilst I would be quite happy to work on my own agenda for a full eighteen hours, because I just can't stand the idea of having "Superiors" eight hours or more, FIVE DAYS A WEEK. I just feel that I am a better leader, is this normal to others, besides myself, or am I an Autocratic Megalomanic?

Sure, if business and finance is your thing. It's normal not to want to be an employee running around at the employer's whims, but with setting up a business of one's own, it may be necessary for a while, as you've said. You might even learn something from these "lesser superiors" lol. However, you could look into another route to your goal.

I think you've already established yourself as a megalomaniac. Autocratic? Haha, we'll see.
