Is it normal to want to buy only american?

Well basically i'm going on a no "made in china" diet. You young people probably don't remeber when majority of items in wal-mart were made in america. Those days are long gone. Everyone is outsourcing jobs overseas like putting Americans out of work is the new fad. I prefer to buy things because of their quality: Quality material, quality design, quality pay for the worker. So what if I have to pay a little extra money! The dollars going to crash anyway. is it normal to want to protect the sovereignty of my country and not contribute in these insane "free" trade agreements?

  • Buy something from Made in China equals you saving a few bucks but also equals you having to replace it not that long after you bought it. I would rather spend a few more bucks to have something of quality and made in my own country to keep people here working.

Capitalism ceases to be fun when you're on the receiving end of it and you can no longer compete in terms of making something cheap.

Protectionism - it will be happening a lot more frequently with this threat of a market crash
