Is it normal to want to break a bone

Ever since I was little I wanted to break a bone. Whether it be my arm or ankle, I always wanted to. I would pretend with my friends that I was injured and they would give me a fake cast or something. As I got older, I would actually try to break it. I would hit my arm against hard surfaces or try and trip my self as I walked. I have still never broken a bone and am not sure why I still want to... Is this normal?

From someone who's broken/fractured/cracked at least 10 bones over time (sometimes the same bone on separate occasions), no you really don't.
You think you do but you don't...

It's not something that can simply be taught young grasshopper.
But it is very simple for those who possess this knowledge:

        Be a fearless cunt

Yeah being a fearless cunt is great until you're on the floor screaming "cunt" over and over cuz you just broke both bones in your fore arm :/

Yes mate, I wear four scars of my right arm for it too ;) Rain and climbing do NOT make a good combo.

Hi sorry for the presumption but the things you've written really resonate with what ive felt before and i wanna say I'm here if u need an impartial ear and that the more you talk about the pain when it hits, be it to the samaritans(who r 24/7,confidential and saved my life) or imalive(dot)org, Crisischat both of which u can textchat online, the more the pain and anxiety lessens. You can move past this but you don't have to fight alone, lean on others and the stronger and happier you become. I'm here, keep talking you can beat this

No, you don't. I've only ever broken one thing so far and it not only hurt very badly but, I found the whole ordeal to be very traumatising. (I was either in kindergarten or pre-k when it happened.) The events that lead/cause the injury were traumatising. The events after the injury were traumatising. The healing process was weird too.

Have you ever heard of the b-ball player, Kevin Ware. I think it happened last year, he was playing in a game when he shattered his femur (?) on live tv. The pictures are frightening (This coming from someone who likes looking at medical/surgical and injury photos.) Ahh! I am so glad that I didn't see it on tv or was at the game. Absolutely terrifying. The video of his accident is on YouTube. (I'm honestly too scared to see the video) Watch it and look at the photos. I want you to tell me if you still want your bones to be broken.
