Is it normal to want to bite candles?

Sometimes when I see candles I get the urge to bite into them and chew them. Not to swallow or actually consume them though. I've never actually done it but something about the texture really makes me want to bite them.

I have the exact same urge but with soap. It looks so good to bite, texture is amazing and smells so nice.
I've had this urge ever since I can remember. My mum used to find me in the bathroom when I was about 3 eating soap bars.

Oh sure, it's all fun at the beginning eating candles, having a good time...

Don't end up like me. I woke up this morning in an alley with a spent acetylene torch in my mouth.

I remember watching a t.v show about a lady who eats household items on the regg. Just try it, just gently grab it and gently insert it into your mouth whilst taking a big chomp out of it. Maybe you'll feel something "speacial" lol crazy bastard.

Have you ever had a birthday celebration that included a cake with candles on it? After blowing out the candles and slicing the cake, did you ever take one of the candles out and the cake residue off of it? I faintly remember doing this as a kid and well, the taste wasn't to die for. The wax had been melted somewhat by the fire and the pieces of cake had absorbed that taste of burnt sweet wax.

Update: It was my housemates birthday so I tried biting the candle from her cake. It was awful, much softer than I expected and some of the wax stuck to my teeth and felt unpleasant. Glad that's out of my system and I'm not going to be one of those people on tv addicted to eating weird stuff.

Well i agree it would feel kinda cool but the more i think about it the more i think that taffy would kind of have the relatively same consistency.

I would say Google it. I know that iron deficiency can cause the urge to chew ice, so maybe there is something causing yours as well?

  • Dude I'm the same way sometimes with random things I just want to bite them I like think about it a lot one time my friend noticed me staring at her arm and she was like, "is there something on my arm?"
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to bite someone really really hard I tried to bite myself once but it hurt.

Also candles are the same way. And styrofoam but one time I bit something styrofoam and it got all in my mouth and stuff so it wasn't pleasant.

Ewww I'm like a freak about clean teeth and I can just imagine wax being all stuck to them AHH it gives me chills to think about!
But anyways, I think it's a kinda weird urge to have. Probably not normal.

I always have the urge to walk into an office, say hi to the first person I see, and fart really loud or even shart if I try too hard.
