Is it normal to want to binge on super unhealthful junk food?
It's nearly 1AM and I'm still up studying for a thermo test in the morning. I try to eat really healthfully all semester to avoid sugar highs/lows, and I get in to the gym at least 5 nights a week. I read online all the nutrition guidelines, and even follow the studies about what types of diets tend to do best for most humans. But the more I read that I shouldn't eat something, the more I want to gorge on it.
Like I just ran out about an hour ago to a 24-hr store to buy something unhealthy. I won't eat it. It's just sitting on my desk so I can study. Otherwise I'd be overcome with wanting it. I read this Dr's blog about how modern fruit has been bred to be too sweet, so that much of modern fruit is really "nature's candy." Then after reading the article I went to a local market and bought two pounds of blueberries and scarfed them down.
Does anyone else crave anything the experts tell you you're not supposed to eat--or just as bad, that you're supposed to eat only in moderation? (If I have to eat something in moderation, there's no fraggin' use me even trying it.)
