Is it normal to want to b.e different?

At school I try to avoid people because I honestly hate everyone at my school except for my like 4 friends, I just think they are annoying and all look the same and act the same and dress the same and do the same things. So I in a way try to be different so I'm not like them. I dress completely different like forever 21 clothes like that. And all everyone where's at school is skinny jeans, and tight shirt and uggs. Or pencil skirts and boots and it is soooo annoying is it normal that I try to be different? Yeah i wear uggs and skirts and the same type stuff but they wear it literally everyday and they all look the same But really if you went to my school you would hate everyone to.. And there's so much drama and all the girls are bitches.. And everyone has like 1000 ex's.. There just all so trashy

It's normal to want to be different. As you stated you hate everyone around you, thus you don't want to become the very thing that you hate. Personally, I dislike conformity and try to provide contrast in most situations.

Don't be different, just be yourself. Try not to blend in or blend out. Be even. But of course, this is normal.

I so don't miss high school.

I graduated, got a job, realized that style and fashion were for people who had money and decided that I just wasn't going to give a fuck anymore, because, you know, being poor and thinking about all of the stuff you don't have the money to buy is depressing. Curiously enough, I now have a good many friends and people wanting to be my friend, men wanting to date me, etc. I am much more social and stand out much more than I did in high school, it's amazing. When I am not present, people notice, and no, not because they hate me.

Everyone wants to stand out, but from my anecdote, I hope you can infer that those that stand out the most and are the most different and memorable are the one's that just don't give that big of a crap. Don't try to be different. Don't focus on what everyone else is doing. Focus on you, and being yourself. People will notice.

Technically there is no normal because everyone is different and to be what someone might think would be normal is actually different from everyone because everyone is different!

Sounds like my highschool days haha. Trust me it gets better! Just hang in there. And it is completely normal to want to be different and not want the same cookie cutter style. Mold your style to fit you, don't mold your style to fit everyone else's.
