Okay, so this man, I'm so madly in love with, who I also hate occasionally , I just cant stop thinking About him popping the question.. I want him to ask me to marry him, I don't know why, but I want him in my life like that. He's like 5-6 years older than me, which I prefer. However he has a kid he never wants to talk about, so i don't know if it's right for me to want to be with him forever.. But I think im ready, we both graduated college and he works, I'm on a good Internship, he swears he loves me, I do too.. Am I wrong to want this now?

    Sounds normal but I don't know if you should ask him maybe have a conversation about how he sees your future together if he doesn't want to talk about it you'll know he doesn't want to get married.

    Maybe there is a reason he doesn't see his kid. I didn't see mine for over 5 years after their mother and I split because their mother wanted to be a complete bitch, and I was sick of going to court over it. Talk to him if it's a problem.

    And as for hating him occasionally, are we talking perfectly normal arguments, regularly sceduled hate sessions every 28 days, or does he torture kittens as a hobby?

      Why go to court when she is watching your kid with care and gives what he needs. I would not bother the mother if she is caring for the child and in fact would support her financially is she alone is watching the child.

        I may be atypical, but I actually like having contact with my kids. Fatherhood is much more than being a sperm donor, in my opinion.

        I wanted to see my kids, be a part of their lives etc. For many years, that was denied to me because the children's mother wanted to be a complete bitch about the fact that we were no longer together (and that I ended up marrying the woman she fell in love with and got rejected by - it's... Complicated).

        I have heard and read crazy girl stories to know one and you sound like one. You will act like this in the beginning and in time the husband can't even take a dump with privacy. You guys will just cling on to the man and never let him breathe. Furthermore do crazy stuff such as kidnapping the kid or worse hurting yourself or the man.
