i really love this guy and he doesn't love me.
It happens to people all of the time. It's also irrational, so try to move on.
Wouldn't it feel better to want someone who views you as the most desirable person in the world?
I think it would.
Find that person.
Well, I dunno, For some people it's much easier to crush on the unattainable because you never have to worry about the stress of a relationship.
It's not self-masochistic, it's just easier for some people to have a crush than to go into a relationship. It doesn't hurt them. It's just easier that way.
It doesn't hurt them to be in love someone who will never love them back? I'm not sure I agree with you on that analysis.
Whenever I've been in a that situation, it hurt like hell. To avoid further agony, I moved on.
Well, I know that for me I've always been someone who has had crushes on unattainable men, never had a boyfriend and don't want one. I find that I am very satisfied crushing from afar and knowing that I don't have to deal with the stress of a relationship. If the time comes, maybe one day I will want a relationship with someone but, so far, I've only crushed on unattainable men and I'm very satisfied with it.
For some people, maybe it's hard, but for others (including myself) it's much easier.
It is perfectly normal. Remember there will also be guys who are attracted to you and you don't feel it either. So treat them as you want to be treated now; not that the disinterested person should fake interest, but there is no need to be mean about it. Nobody owes anybody to return those feelings. The magic is when the attraction is mutual.
The way life is. You like someone you cannot obtain, and people like you, in which they can't obtain you.
I can't say I can relate, as I am apathetic towards the whole thing.
All those books, stories and poems of unrequited love and you have to ask; "is it normal"?
Get a grip!
You'll have a much better life if you'll just be with those who care for you and not chase the unattainable.
Remember the Steven Stills song, "love the one you're with"? Good advice.
Unfortunately, we want what we know we can't have. You keep fishing in the same lake only to reel him in, again and again. There's already a set consensus, and I agree by saying you must move on.
On an unrelated note, I can't believe this measly sentence of a post was approved.
Being unwanted often increases the feeling of wanting this person even more, so yes it's normal. We all have gone through this at least once in our lives. You should move on. Your feelings will go away over time if he is still clearly not intesrested in you.
It's it because you are gay and he is not?
Sorry it's just that you didn't say whether you are a bloke or a womans.
People always leave out the details.
It's all in the details.
Love hurts.. You can't make someone like you. They either do or they don't
This is my life story. For some reason, I only like people who I know do not like me back.
