Is it normal to want other men?

My boyfriend and I have been together for over a year and we have been keeping a long distance relationship for about 6 months. I like to think I'm patient and loyal but lately, I've been feeling very lonely and I want to date other guys without feeling guilty because really, I miss going out on dates and stuff. He's 30 and I'm 20. We're at two different points in our lives because of our age gap and he's ready to settle while I feel so fresh and young. We might be long distance for an extra 2 or 3 years and that's soooo long for me! Nothing was rushed between us until he moved and now all these "serious" life decisions popped up like moving in, marriage, etc. Its hard because I really do want to stick with him but at the same time I want to be able to date more! Heeeelllllppppppp ~!!

    why didnt he ask if you wanted to move with him? Anf yeas sadly, long distance relationships are very hard. If i had to move, especially if i was away for longer then three months, i would take her with me.

    i'm 19 and i have had a long distance relationship and i broke it off beause we wanted different thing and needed to go our own may but he is only 22 so the possiability that we will get together one day is highly likely cuz we still love each other but anyway even we knew we needed to experience more from life cuz we are still young! the quetsion is are you ready to get married and settle down and have kids which most people are his 30 or do you want to experience more from life, to live more which most young people do at our ages? whatever you decide i hope it goes well but if you decied to live more and date more I am certain you wont regret it!

      At this age of 19, your comments are quite mature and practical. Be happy and find a good and mature partner.

    @skyhuh24: Unnecessary.

    What you are going through is something that my girlfriend once had to deal with. Eventually we just called it quits until we found a way to be closer. 3 years later, we live closer, and I couldn't be happier.

  • People need affection regardless of the source. What you're going through is very normal.

    Before you cheat I'd let him know what you're feeling and if he can't come back for you then it's time to leave.
