Is it normal to want my wedding gown to be a bikini?
I know this is not an original idea. A lot of brides do this, especially at beach weddings. What makes mine so unique is that mine will be formal. Ironically, I already got past the hardest part: getting approval from my fiance's minister to wear it in his church. We're getting married in his church. I've always wanted my wedding dress to look pretty...but sexy too. Plus it's that feeling of vulnerability of wearing a bikini while everyone around me is fully-dressed that interests me. It's like I'm saying to myself: "I'm giving my WHOLE self to my new husband, so I want to give him my body too." Maybe that doesn't make any sense but that's how I feel.
Plus, he treats me like a queen, so naturally I want him to admire as much of me as he can on our wedding day.
I'm having a special white string bikini made with a garter to wear around my leg and beautiful white lace on the bra and bottom to make it look elegant. Aside from the bikini and garter, some high-heeled shoes, a tiara with a veil, a necklace, and earrings...the rest of me will be exposed and naked. Is it normal that I want that instead of a typical white wedding dress?
