Is it normal to want my dad to die?

Right, every time my dad speaks to me he has to say something that will in some way upset me. For instance he has double standards for me and my brother, if i do something i get told off big style, yet if my brother does the same thing, nothing really happens and I get the "well I didn't seen it" crap. Just now i was saying to myself "go away and die, just die. Then someone else can come along and tell me how you died and i can laugh." no joke. I actually thought this. IIN?

    I've felt that way about my father on and off for years, and still do occasionally when he pisses me off. For as much as you feel that way, you really don't you just think you do. If he actually died because of you thinking that you'd hate yourself for it later on.

    Double standards are a bitch. I'm an only child so I don't really have any advice for you other than to find something to take your frustration out on (NOT him, that would be bad).
