Is it normal to want attention from a man you've dated for 2 years?

So I've been with this guy for 2 years now, 6 hour long distance relaionship for the first year and half. I recently moved so for the past 3 months we have been 90 miles apart so we see each other on weekends. We have a great time on weekends together and have recently talked about marriage if he can find a job and move here. We both have kids so we are somewhat busy during the week, but all I want is for him to at least text me during the day to show me he's thinking about me and then talk to me in the evenings. He's my best friend and the person I tell everything to. I feel like he just doesn't have time for me though. I get frustrated at him for not taking the initiative to ever contact me. Many times when I call him he doesn't answer , often on purpose, then he later says he was busy. The times he doesn't answer though are when he's annoyed and stonewalls me. He'll ignore me for a couple days sometimes just to upset me. Is this normal or am I too needy?

I don't know any woman that doesn't want to feel appreciated and wanted by the man they're in love with. This is normal in my book! Have you tried reverse pschology on him yet? Act like it's no big deal, don't call him for a few days, and see what happens. He might be on a little power trip and feel like he's got you wrapped around his finger. Give him a taste of his own medicine and maybe he'll think twice!
