Is it normal to want an 'older sister' because of a complex?

So I'm an only child, aside from a half brother of whom I've only ever met on a few occasions. Even though I am an only child, I've noticed that I have something similar to that of a sister complex. In my recent years I'd met a number of wonderful people, some of which I had came to look up to since I never had someone like that as a kid. Now my problem is that I seem to want to have like..a sister like relationship with said person but at the same time I'd hope it'd be more. I've sometimes had dreams and whatnot that I wasn't an only child, and had an older sister to look up to that I would somehow end up getting too close to both physically and otherwise. Is it normal?

I've had pretty much the same thing with a couple of people, both male and female. I'm also an only child with a half brother I don't get along with. I've even had people I've referred to as my older brother or sister (and they referred to me as their little sister) but I secretly had a bit of a crush on them.

I don't know if it's healthy, but it's understandable. Children shouldn't be raised on their own.

    Are you male or female?
