Is it normal to want a platonic relationship?

I think there's more asexuals than 1% of the worlds population, they're just too scared to be made into a freak if they come out as one! keep it strong! People like us need to stand up for ourselves and make people see that living a non-sexual life isn't going to ruin anything. It doesn't make us weird, or sick. I explain it as mother natures population control, and remind people that the world is already over-crowded.

I'm sure more people who are sexual, would accept asexuality as it becomes wider known. Finding a partner isn't impossible, it's just harder.
