Is it normal to want a life without romance?

I just want to do my own thing. Pursue my hobbies. Live my life. Not spend so much time dealing with heartache and breakups and all the drama that comes with it all. Is that normal?

  • No problems. It's your life; live the way YOU want to live it! If you're just not feeling up to getting involved in relationships right now, then so be it. A lot of people, just take some time off and focus on what they are doing in life. Nothing wrong with wanting to do your own thing. It is normal, don't worry! :)

And besides, I'm with you. Who needs drama anyways ya know lol.

I don't know if you've felt this way all the time but I think many people go through a similar phase especially after they've been hurt or have experienced a bad relationship. Perhaps you haven't met the right person yet.

I personally find it normal as drama is to stressful and not needed.

I would like to be affectionate towards a romantic partner however I do need my personal space.

  • Normal for a 10 year old. Acceptable but not really normal for an adult.

Bro this is def normal, I have a girlfriend for three years and shes pretty hot. I cant wait to get rid of her and chill with the fellas. All they wanna do is go to weddings and tell people how cute there kids are. I can really give a shit. Have kids but stay single thats the life bro!!!

You may be asexual - a person who has no interest in either gender. That's perfectly normal, I think I'm one too.

Normal to concentrate on your own life and what makes you happy

Bit less normal if you are purposefully avoiding relationships in case there is a chance they could fail..

Perfectly normal. Of course, just make sure you have some friends or something. You'll need human interaction in order to feel empathy and communicate with other people.

I used to be like that before I met my girlfriend. I wanted to be single and no kids and just go after what I wanted.

Now all I want is her :)
