Is it normal to want a girl to chase/be around you a lot?

I have never had a girlfriend (more out of choice than personal appearance or something) but even when I could make something happen, I always feel like I am the one chasing the girl. And while guys are supposed to be making the moves (at least at first), I just want to find a girl that isn't clingy but has the confidence and thoughtfulness to go out of her way to call/text/see me instead of the other way around. Pretty much all the girls I met seem to have this attitude that the guys have to do everything for them before they do anything for the guy and I want it more fair and balanced. Do you guys know what I mean?

    I feel the same way, which is why I love Sadie Hawkins dance. I wish I could meet a girl who, not only likes me, but would actually have the confidence to tell me so in a serious way. I believe in fairness to. And as much as I get you, I think it's fair that the person who has the crush should be the one who asks the person out. Which is why I also wish that a girl would like me to, I'm tired of having to build up the nerve to ask people out for nothing.

    Anyways, I think plenty of people want to meet a girl like this.
