So I've had this plan for a few years now to shave off all my hair at th after grad party (I'm a girl). I've always had really long hair and now I'm planning to buzz it off. I originally wanted to go to a temple or something but I don't think I'm gonna go. Yet I'm still hopin that this'll be spiritual in some way... Is that odd in any way?

no shaved heads are ugly. if i were you, i'd just cut it really short.. and then wear a wig.
I used to shave my head when there was too much tension inside my world of thoughts. Gave me something to do, other than worry. I also let it grow out to girl's length. I still don't know what I prefer more. Try to be friend with yourself and your hair will matter less.
If you want it to be a spiritual release then let it be one, who cares if it's normal. I had a friend who took out all her piercings and cut off all her hair- it helped her regain her sense of self. Dramatically changing the outside can help you gain perspective on the inside.
Outer vs inner. In India women do it, to rid them selfs of the sin of vanity. They leave there locks at the temple and the temple sells the hair to hairless Americans and probably others

Why does your external appearence have to change to have a spiritual experience?
It's abnormal in the sense that not many girls have that compulsion but go for it. You shouldn't live a life fettered by fears or stigmas.
