This doesn't happen often but every so often I'll wake up and find my clitoris jutting out and it's really stiff. Is this normal?

Occasionally, but it is accompanied with intense arousal, first thing in the morning. Eventually, throughout the day, the urge to masturbate will nag me.
For girls who also experience this, it's related to increased blood flow (like to men with morning wood) In the morning, your blood flow rapidly increases, when you are waking up after sleeping all night. It's result of "complex interaction" (psychological, vascular, neural and endocrine) Your clitoris will become engorged; this is not always related to sexual arousal/or mean you are aroused, it is just how the body works -- and more prevalent in the morning.
It's nothing to be concerned about, if you want an explanation, that is it. It's normal and common.

There a user on here who called it either a "Morning chip" or a "Wood Chip". It was something like that. while, I do believe it to be normal, I don't think that it has ever happened to me.
