Is it normal to wake up touching yourself?

Sometimes I randomly wake up in the middle of the night and find myself touching my private areas. I'm assuming I was having a sexual dream but I never remember. All I remember is turning over while touching myself over my pjs. I do have a great urge to do it in the seconds after I wake up but it quickly dissipates and I'm asleep again before I know it.

Does this happen to anyone else?

    No, even when I have wet dreams, my hand doesn't seem to find its way to the right place in my sleep, which is very frustrating as I sometimes wake up from a near-climax. I think masturbating before falling asleep should help.

    My wife tells me that I very frequently play with myself in my sleep. Sometimes when I ask her to play with me she'll say, "you do that, you're good at it!"

    I've had bad (good) dreams before and woke up horny, and THEN touched myself, but never woke up in the middle of the 5 finger shuffle.

    Is it normal to google if its normal after waking up from touching myself. Glad i did as i found this great site. Registered!
    I am 33. Two kids. One is a yr old. I feel i shouldn't be rubbing one at every night before sleep. And the few nights i haven't rubbed one out i wake up to foundling my tits. Boob out and everything.

      Hah. I’m glad my post led you here. I do not wake up fondling my boob so I might be a little I experienced but I do sometimes have my shirt almost off by the time I wake up so who knows what happened during my sleep.....

    I just love watching a girls lips squash, love watching it all move about as she moves. Hmm what was the f'n question again ah yeah , I'm horny pretty well all night every night. Sex shuts me up for a little while but I'm usually back with vengeance asleep or not for pretty well the rest of the night later, no telling what I must do in my sleep.

    It's completely normal! We all have sexual dreams. Most people probably masturbate in their sleep (or as I like to call it, "slank" [sleepwank]) and there's nothing wrong with it. Masturbation is natural. :)
