Is it normal to wake up from a dream so scared that you can't move?

I had this dream once -- I don't remember what happened in it but i woke up in the middle of the night scared more that i've ever been in my life. I couldn't move from the fear. It took about ten more minutes before I was really sure it was only a dream and could think normally.
Has anything like that ever happened to anyone of you?

There's a way to turn Sleep Paralysis into lucid dreaming, I'd suggest looking that up if you had the time.

The first time I had sleep paralysis, I thought I'd had a stroke. I couldn't move more than inch. I was saying my goodbyes to the world for about five minutes.

It's happened to me several times. What's really weird is I was paralyzed during a good dream too. Like, I was half awake half asleep and I saw some presents on a desk on the other side of the room. I also heard whispers like "Don't wake her up", etc. Then I officially woke up to find that there wasn't any presents. 'Twas a sad day.

    The above poster is right.

When we sleep our bodies enter into a form of paralysis so we don't act out our dreams. In the case of sleepwalkers, they aren't affected by sleep paralysis.

Sometimes, it will last well after waking up, which happened in your case. It's normal, just not very common.
