Is it normal to wake up from a dream and feel completely numb?

Okay so I was having a nightmare the other night and I had smoked weed about 12 hours prior to that. It wasn't laced. I had been smoking that weed fine for 3 days in a row and nothing like this has happened. So I was having a horrible nightmare that I was hallucinating horribly. I felt like I pushed myself out of the dream because things were getting intense and I knew it wasn't real. When I woke up my whole body was numb and I couldn't move. I would really like to know is that normal? Please don't give me that stop smoking stuff please. I'm completely sure it wasn't that.

It's your body's way of not letting you move around while dreaming cause that might be dangerous! It stops you from sleep walking! Dont freak our you're fine haha

When you're sleeping you can't move. If you run in your dream you aren't running in real life. Your body goes in some kind of sleeping mode which causes your body to be numb. When you wake up quickly it could happen that your body isn't out of sleeping mode yet so you can't move yet. This mostly happens with older people but it can happen to kids too. So it's completly normal and doesn't have anything to do with the weed you smoked. So don't worry 'bout it ;) (Sorry for my bad English)

Sleep paralysis. Happens to pretty much everyone. Normally occurs for me during a light sleep or rest that I wake up during.

Probably just sleep paralysis. Weed has nothing to do with it.
