Is it normal to wake up crying?

I am very, independent, strong, and have a positive self image. I am going through a very rough breakup. I thought this person was the one. Turns out, I was being used. Anyway, when I finally do sleep. It is nightmares. I am crying in my dreams. When I wake up, I am drenched in my tears. Also, my heart feels as though it were breaking in my stomach. Is this normal? What can I do to stop it? Any kind advice..would be appreciated.

I'm so sorry. Going through a break up or losing the one you love one of the toughest things anyone can go through. It will get better in time, you just need to move on, which will be hard unfortunately.

You are grieving. Imagine that a warm protective shell is surrounding your heart. Feel your heart developing and healing. Know that when your heart is ready it will hatch out into a new world filled with wonder.

    In your situation, very normal.
I had the same when my ex used me. I had extremely vivid dreams, nightmares and would often wake up crying or in the middle of a full blown panic attack.
The only way to move on is time. Make sure you are calm and happy before you go to sleep. And whenever you can, spend time with friends and family, go out and flirt with men, do activities you enjoy. Try your best not to dwell on what happened and do things that make you happy.

I have been doing meditation, and working out. Of course, my friends have helped. I really appreciate your comment.

Totally normal, especially since your going through a break-up, your body is releasing your emotions of grief from loosing that person through your dream time. This is natural and will pass with time, trust me.
