I met my man 17 years ago when i used to babysit for him and his then partner. I was 12 and he was 21. We finally got together when I was 21 and he was 30. We have been together for 9 years, have 2 kids and his son. We aren't even close to getting married or even engaged. We have spoken on may occasions about it. But, to no avail. I love him to bits, took on his son as my own and give him all he wants ( that I'm able to ) My question is: is it normal to not want to marry you long term gf?

    Sometimes its not the best idea to get married even if you love them so I say yes it's normal

    After 4 years & kids together, my man got me a ring and said " what ya reckon, wanna get married?" but with in 2 months took it back. That was 3 1/2 years ago. Is it normal to ask, take it back, not to ask again?

      He took it back! And u took him back??? It's one thing to never propose but to cancel is something else...it's down right insulting...
