Is it normal to view your self as a placeholder in general

Since the age of 19 I seen my self as less than nothing or a place holder for someone else to do better than me. I am just wondering if it is self esteem issues or if it's my depression talking and if it is my depression talking is that normal for it to make you think you are null or a empty husk for someone greater than your self.

You need to realize that just the fact you're opening up to strangers on the internet is brave. Here it's so much easier to be insulted by people than in real life, yet here you are, telling your story. That's a thing to be proud of.

Look, even when life throws you shit at every step of yours, you don't stop walking. I believe in you
