Is it normal to use your ethnicity to pay your student loans

I just found out that I have a lot of native American blood in my family. This information could of been used to get grants that might of paid a considerable amount of my tuition about 10 years from today. I'm about 40k in student loan debt. Is there a way to capitalize on this? If so, is it unethical to pursue?

You should do it. It is hard to get loans. You have to work with what you got. Many refuse to give to middle class. Even if the family will not pay for the schooling. So you should go for it. It might seem wrong or racist but you really do not have a lot of options when it comes to collage money.

If you qualify then do it. Nothing unethical about it in my opinion.

The Feds are the reason that people that grow up on reservations or have families that did, have trouble paying student loans. You think putting an entire native population of anywhere would fly in today's PC world? Or would the government just throw em in the FEMA camps for their "protection"? I'm sure they said something very similar when they moved them to the reservations.
