Is it normal to use tweezers for armpit hair?

Don't you hate it when you still see hair stubs under your armpit after you shaved in the shower? I haven't used a tweezer to pluck out my armpit hair in a while because it takes too long. But how many of you out there do this when you don't want to go out and buy wax to rip off those little black stubs?

I remember trying to use an epilady on my armpits.. (for those too young or otherwise unfamiliar it was a [torture] device that would pull out hair by the roots) and armpit area was not a good area for it at all! way too painful plus bad ingrown hairs.

Time consuming but it's worth it, not only it feels so smooth it takes time to grow back compared to using razors.

  • Yup, just if it's a small patch. I'm a guy and I do the same on my chest hair if I miss a spot. I dunno, it doesn't really hurt anymore.

I am in love with the concept of self inflicted CONTROLLED pain, controlled being the important word here, sometimes i like to pluck nose hairs because it is pain i can controll... i know i know weird but i dont care I like it and its not hurting anyone else and it's not like I'm asking anyone else to do it...

I tried it but it hurt and the angle gave me a headache, an arm-ache and made me feel dizzy.

Sooooo I won't be doing it again

I would imagine that I would be hard trying to see all of the hairs you are trying to pluck.

  • I did it randomly the other week, it didn't hurt pulling the hair out but after it was sore as hell.

I will not be trying it again, I think I'll stick to hair removal cream.

I agree with aussie. I have like 50 unopened razors just so I have them handy when my razors go bad.

i can only assume that you havent changed your razor for a while. probably better to buy a new one so it shaves properly.

maybe its the shaver that you use, how many razors does it have and how many times do you shave over the same place? might have to change directions when you shave under your arms too.

Yowza. Sounds painful. My pits are way too sensitive for plucking.
