i think it would be appropriate for you to use those terms for personal use and not for academics nor in serious matters. If you are in the US i suggest you use the american grammar. Just so that people would not get the wrong idea about you.
Well you do realise that using Standard English is the correct way of spelling words. Don't wanna sound too hasty but I study English language at college, and by you Americans using words like 'gotten' and 'done' would be accepted as ungrammatical in Britain =]
