Welcome to Brit Club. The first rule of Brit Club, you do not talk about Brit Club. The second rule of Brit Club is that we do not have a second rule. Toodle pip, old bean!

i think it would be appropriate for you to use those terms for personal use and not for academics nor in serious matters. If you are in the US i suggest you use the american grammar. Just so that people would not get the wrong idea about you.

  • Well you do realise that using Standard English is the correct way of spelling words. Don't wanna sound too hasty but I study English language at college, and by you Americans using words like 'gotten' and 'done' would be accepted as ungrammatical in Britain =]

    • Thats because there is no such thing as American English. American English is an accent not a language.
