Is it normal to use alcohol to deal with problems+lose weight?

I've never drank too seriously, only socially but lately I've found that I can use alcohol as an escape to deal with problems and to lose weight, like if you chain drink and not eat.

I know its mostly only a temporary relief and all, but its such an efficient way to deal with two of my main problems in life right now. Is it normal fr me to think like this?

It's not the best drug to help you loose weight or get rid of your problems. It actually makes yips gain weight and will give you more problems. Advice from someone who has seen it all before.

Wine is healthier. Allot of thin people drink it. Are you drinking beer? That usually makes people fat... Also, too much alcohol is not good for the body anyway....

Becoming a problem drinker is not healthy and you should see someone about it or go to an AA meeting if it becomes a serious issue. Also, drinking alcohol does not help you lose weight due to empty calories. Find a different way to deal with stress, talk to someone about your problems, take some me time, have sex, anything that will not harm you. Also for weight loss, just exercise and eat healthy, its the best way to do it.

Yes, this is very common, but alcohol doesn't make you lose weight. It relaxes you and you therefore don't burn as many calories. That's why people say 'beer gut'; extensive periods of time drinking alcohol can cause you to gain weight.

  • Get on a the wagon it goes down hill fast. I started off drinking to help with my problems it took 14 years to get sober and in the end created a lot more problems through the bottle. Deal with life realisticily and sober. Besides drinking will actually make you put on weight because of the high sugar and or carb content.
