Is it normal to use a tampon to stop diarrhea?

I have a real problem with Diarrhea and i found that using my girlfriends tampons can prevent leakage, i didn't think this was an issue because it fits so comfortably but one of my mates saw one in my bag the other day and made fun of me, but I thought it was quite normal for guys to use then, people use them for nose bleeds right?

    I know a kid who had to wear pads for about a week straight because he kept sharting. You do whatever works, nothing wrong with it.

    Because, the tampon doesn't have a flared base, you run the risk of having your sphincter "suck up" the tampon which would cause the tampon to get dislodged in your intestine. If that does happen, you'd have to go to the hospital so it can be taken out and you will be asked why you got a tampon stuck in there.
