Is it normal to try to control this site?

i have noticed that there are certain people who constantly complain that this is not an "advice" site but a site to ask whether or not something is normal. i have yet to find out why these people keep coming on here if they hate this site and the people on it. is it normal that i am completely confused by this and wonder what they want from everyone on here? do they not have any real friends because of their shitty attitude and this is the only place they get attention from anyone?

    I Truthfully Dont Understand Zealots but i wont name names. they might have issues and complain but they can be helpful too so it s part of there personality and I accept that, we all have our little bugbears

    It's a site based around user generated content, I'm not sure what else people expect. The only thing that bothers me is the abusive/insulting/patronising comments that people leave to probably nice and genuine people who are obviously concerned about something.

    I don't understand why you would ask something like, "Is it normal to...." and not expect someone to give advice. Rarely does a yes or no suffice. Is it normal to question the content on this site, I say yes, question everything.

    I try my best to help those and give my opinion, even giving advice and an opinion at the same time sometimes.

    Admittedly I do sometimes act silly and mean-ish but it's just cause I'm either grouchy or bored to death.

    I can see both sides. Some people complain because they see the site a certain way and when people use it a different way, it offends their sense of what things are for.

    The other side is that people accept the site how it is, including the fake, funny posts, the racist posts, the teasing of each other, the sexually dubious ones, the care, the anger, the ignorance, the wit and the wisdom. This is the side I tend to take because this site is representative of people and their opinion, and I accept them as they are too.

    What gives you the right to say what's right or wrong, allowed or not allowed on this site? Is this your very own site? If you don't like it, why don't you leave instead of bellyaching? And "should" is the most judgemental word I know, often spouted by intolerant people just like you

      Ah see now if you read the info about what this website is about it doesnt mention giving advice so no this isnt "My site" but the people who did makethis site said nothing about advice.
      This site isnt about whats right and wrong its about whats normal and not normal two very seperate things.
      So you telling me the person who wants people to use the site the way it was insteded it to be used should leave the site other than the people who completely use the site the wrong way?
      Its like someone picking up the football/soccer ball saying ok now im playing american football. Completely changing what the game is about just like people are completely changing what this site is about. Once again I say check the info about this site that came from the people who did make the site. And dont say "what gives me the right" I took the right to say the truth im sorry where on this site does it say that its a advice site? fucking idiotic kids "waa waa my ex boyfriend doesnt love me after two years is this normal waa waa" thats basicly the stupid shit that your supporting its like ofcourse hes notgoing to love you hes your fricken ex but hey your all for the idiotic and obvious stories im guessing. So yeah good one maybe do somemore research before thinking that im trying to say what I say is right and just not the actual truth. Idiot.

    I have a feeling this was made because of me. Im not trying to control the site im basicly that it isnt what it was made for which it isnt.
    Who here actualy wants to hear relationship stories?
    This site isnt an advice site maybe you should leave and go to one that is about asking for advice (to those who mistake the purpose of this site)

    I come on here when I am bored and and have nothing else to do.

    I dont hate the people on here nor do I like them.
    What I want is for people to stop complaining about the obviously normal situations. They see the site name "IsItNormal" gets people interested in finding stories about people that makes them wonder "Is this normal" not "Aww poor them they need advice"
    and the last bit about the no friends I see what you done there you done that to try and make others think "ha he/she is probably right" mainly to piss the people off. I prefer it if I dont get attention off of the people or anyone in particular but if they reply to me I reply back to them. So dont you think they should go to a advice website instead of this one? whats so wrong with moving to one of the 100 advice sites and leaving this one ot be the type of site it was made to be not this "aww poor them they need advice" sites. Is it so bad that people want this site to be used the way it was inteded to be used whats so bad about these advice seeking people going to an advice site because there isnt other site like this and if there was I would gladly move on.

    and that the others who submit stories like the other 1000 over and over again are in the right?

    Just remember there are other sites out there for advice maybe they should look up those sites instead of trying to change a site that has nothing to do with asking obvious questions.
